Another spur of the moment artigo that I was prompted to write because I realize that I never list any female X Men in my favoritos list. I probably spent mais time actually composição literária this artigo than any of my other artigos so that I could get it just right. So here’s to you Women of X, I’m finally acknowledging you.
Honorable Mention goes to Aliya Dayspring and Madelyne Pryor.

I amor both of these women but they didn’t make the list for a few very different reasons. I amor Maddy because of the fact of she’s Cable’s mother and she is a very interesting complex character. She didn’t make it because, well she’s evil. I don’t mind if you’ve gone crazy but she had a poor reason for going all X-Men hating so she didn’t make the cut. I amor Aliya because she was the loved one of my favorito character but she didn’t let the fact that she was mostly a plot device make her into a weak character. She didn’t make the cut purely because a lack of appearances. I just don’t know enough about her to put her on here.

5. Hope Summers
Ah Hope. What is there to say? Hope was mais of a plot device when I first met her but she grew into an interesting character over time. She gave Cable another chance at raising a child and is the reason there are new mutants after M Day. Sadly she’s been quite annoying lately and I’ve stopped leitura her. Maybe she’s just going through an awkward teenager phase but until she gets out of that phase she’s stuck on the bottom of the list.


4. Rachel Grey aka Marvel Girl
Damn how many red heads with green eyes are on this list? I probably look like I have some type of weird fetish. Anyways, Rachel is yet another character who has had to go through a lot in her lifetime. She was brain washed into a mutant hunter and then came to an alternate universe only to have her alternate universe parents reject her. Not the most fun way to spend your young adult years. She also has been stuck in a hostile future where she grew into an old wise lady and the head of a group of freedom fighters. The one thing I don’t appreciate about Rachel is the fact that she never seemed to get over her past and she still lets it bother her to this day. Maybe I’m too tough and soulless but until she sucks it up she’s never getting higher in my book.


3. Jean Grey aka Phoenix
The classic X Woman. Really what else do I need to say here? Jean is one of those people who you aspire to be like while still being very likeable and approachable. She’s had trauma in her life but she is still able to function and be okay with her past. Now I’m sure you’re wondering why I put her so low on the list if she’s so amazing. The fact is she doesn’t have that hook that makes me just amor a character to the point of obsession. Sorry Jean but you won’t find me stalking you through the streets with my camera anytime soon.


2. Theresa Cassidy aka Banshee
Now here is a chick that has gone through some shit. She was an alcoholic, lost a child in one of the worst ways possible, lost her father, has had her throat ripped out, and was raised por a villain. But that is not the reason she is on this list. No, she is on this list because of the fact that she has overcome all of these things and it doesn’t affect her anymore. Plenty of things have happened to other characters but few just get over it and don’t complain about it and that is an idea I can get behind. As long as Terry makes jokes about being a drunken Irish I will read about her.


1 Layla Miller aka Butterfly
Another character that has had to go through a lot (including being stranded in the future and being in a mutant concentration camp) and yet still doesn’t complain about it or let it affect her negatively. But again that’s not why she’s on the list. Layla is my favorito X Lady because her attitude. I amor her cryptic way of speaking and her almost internet troll like comments. How can you not amor a little girl who can confuse even the most senior of X Men? Her knowledge of the future and her acceptance of her role in it are really admirable and it gives her a great edge in her interactions with others. Layla is the type of person I amor and would hope to be and if the writers ever change this I will commit some violent homicide.
