Nick looked around. "Hmmm. How 'bout we play the Wii. I bet I can bet you." I smiled. "You're on!" We played bowling and he beat me. We played golf and I beat him. My mom came in. "Karleigh, come here for a minute." "Coming." I yelled. "Nick, just keep playing. You can take my turns if you need to." "Mmhmm." I walked into the kitchen. "I'm taking you and your sisters to the movies. We are going to see Toys Story 3!" "Yay." I said lamely. I walked away. "What was that all about?" Nick asked. "My mom wants to take me and the girls to go see Toys Story 3. I-" Nick interrupted. "I wanna go see that." "Oh. I heard it was funny." I looked to the cozinha window. Crap! It was open. "Nick?" My mom asked.
"Yes, Chris?" No. Please, mom, no. "Would you like to come with us?" Nick smiled. "Sure. I'll go ask my mom. When are we going?" Pat answered. "4:00." Nick and I went over to his house. "Mom?" He asked walking in. "Yes?" "Um, Lori, my mom wanted to know if Nick was allowd to go to the filmes with us?" She looked at us. "Yeah. Sure."
Before we left I warned Nick to bring a jaqueta because it gets cold there. But no he doesn't listen. As we were driving my mom turned around. "Karleigh, do you mind if me and Pat go to some stores while you guys see the movie?" Yes I mind. "No. Not at all." Wait no. I don't want to be in the theater alone with Nick! "Is it alright with you, Nick?" My mom asked. "Yeah, it's cool."
My mom and Pat came inside and bought our tickets for us. Then we went and sat in the theater. We sat all the way in the back and we sat: Kaitlyn, then me, then Nick, then Kelsey. Great right seguinte to Nick. My coração pounded against my ribs really fast and hard. "Psst." Nick whipered. "Can I borrow your jaqueta 'cause your not using it?" I looked at my blue flowered jacket. "Sure." I whispered as I handed it to him. I warned him earlier.
Nick and I laughed during the movie. When the movie ended we stood up and went outside and waited for my parents. "That was fun. How 'bout we play DDR when we get home?" I looked out my window. "S-sure." I stuttered. When we pulled infront of my trailer I hopped out and grabbed my bike. "Nick, Did you notice how this will look?" I asked while riding my bike. "Notice what?" I giggled. "How we were both gone at the same time. Not at your house nor mine. And we just so happened to pull up infront of my trailer and you come out. People will ask questions. They'll assume we are dating." I pretended to shiver. We parked our bikes.
"So,Karleigh, how was your encontro, data with Nick?" I turned in time to see...

you don’t live this life,
you’re becoming a shadow
of your destiny.
This cruel fate hates
your laughter,
loving your pain that
sleeps inside your
broken heart.
Broken and tired
of all these lost fights,
your life becomes
invisible
and you don’t care anymore,
but you do,
you still do.
You’re trying to see
through this fog,
you’re still fighting
for that day,
the dia of your peace.
Your path is full of
thorns that are stabbing you
directly into your hope,
tearing your soul apart,
you’re on the wings of powerlessness.
oi Mom,
It's been a while
Since you sat seguinte to me,
Since I saw you smile
I miss you Mom
I wish you were here
Giving me kisses
Holding me near
I can still see you Mom,
the laughing happy you
Not the ill broken women
Who broke my coração in two
I'll always remember Mom,
You taught me well
To do good things,
And with Honesty tell
I'm telling you Mom
Losing you killed me
Laying a rose on your casket
Trying hard to be
Strong.
That's what you were Mom,
Strong.
In everything you said
In everything you did
So now I'll be just that
Strong like a mother, not like a kid
I wrote this in honor of any child who has ever lost a parent.
