I stood up, shrugging Jakes arm off my shoulder. I couldn’t be around anyone when they were atuação like this, especially not Jacob. Why would dad be right? I loved Jacob and he loved my right? That’s how imprinting works.
“Renesmee.” Jacob called after me.
I ignored him. Did he really think that? When I was younger I always dreamed that when I graduated, Jacob would ask me to marry him. That we would be happy together, for eternity. That we would have our own children and our own house. But life isn’t a fairy tale, or something you can just plan out in front of you. It’s something much undecided. And my little dream from when I was younger seemed very unlikely now.
“Ness, are you going home?” Jacob asked from behind me.
“I don’t know.” I said truthfully.
“Please do. Your mum will be extremely upset if you don’t.” Oh so it was my mum that would be upset now. He didn’t care. He came down here for Mum’s benefit?
He knew what I was thinking.
“Oh come on Ness, you know I didn’t mean it like that. I didn’t want you to get hurt either.” Oh yes and I was totally ment to believe that wasn’t I!
“Renesmee, look at me.” Jacob said grabbing my wrist and twisting me around.
His eyes were soft, and I tried very hard to keep my glare at him. He made it so difficult to be angry at him.
“You know I amor you. But I want what’s best for you.”
“Being with you is what’s best for me.” I said. And that I was certain about.
“But it might not be.” He said again. Why did he keep saying things like that? It was just being stupid.
I turned away from him.
“YOU OBVIOUSLY DON’T KNOW WHAT’S BEST FOR ME THEN.” I shouted and then ran home.
I curled up on my cama crying. Dad and Mum were now hunting as far as I was aware and I didn’t think Jacob would follow me.
“Nessie can I come in?” Auntie Alice asked.
I sniffed, sitting up and Auntie Alice came in.
“I know how you feel Nessie.” She said hugging me. “I can assure you I would feel the same way if I was told I couldn’t be with Jasper because my grades were bad. There your responsibility not his. And you shouldn’t be disciplined in that way. I may not know a lot about Imprinting but, I’m going to guess it’s pretty hard for you two to be apart. I mean I hate being away from Jazz, but with you two...Let’s just say it has to hurt, doesn’t it?” I nodded.
Aunt Alice understood better than I thought. She understood better than anyone.
