End of Chapter 1:
I jumped off of the balcony, followed por Rosalie.
"You can't even control your wife," she said to me.
"I'm not going to get hurt. Besides, Emmett should've seen it coming."
Then I noticed Jasper was following us.
"Jasper, I doubt we'll need you," I said.
"Alice sent me. None of you might need me, but Jacob does."
Rose and I looked at each other. Jacob thinks we saved Bella. If he finds out Bella is a vampire, he may attack at any moment. Just what we need, an angry lobo pack attacking us and breaking their own treaty.
All because of Jacob.
2. HUH?
Jacob
I was running through the woods to cool off after another fight with Paul. There was a creek nearby, so I cleaned my face and walked alongside it.
"ROSALIE!!!" a voice yelled. I ran towards it. Then I decided to shift, because the person would freak if they saw a wolf. I could hear their voices clear out as I got closer.
"Have mercy, o, Great One!" the male voice was laughing.
"Stand still!"
The new voice sounded familiar. It was a female. Then I smelled a vampire. Two vampires. I entered the clearing to find a large bloodsucker being tied to the árvore with his own arms. Huh? Where's the other? Then I saw a figure come out from behind the tree. What? No, it can't be!
"Bella, get away from there!" I heard another voice yelled. Edward. He said Bella was still human! Then they entered the clearing. Edward was staring staight at me, watching my every move.
What's this, bloodsucker? I thought. I was about to say it when-
"Jacob, it's not what you think," he answered. Bella and the gorilla for a vampire looked at me for the first time.
"Jacob?" Bella gasped. I walked forward. I didn't realize I was shaking until Edward stood in front of Bella.
"Don't come any farther," he growled.
You broke the treaty! I yelled in my mind.
"No, I didn't."
"Yes, you did, and the evidence is right behind you. You bit a human!"
"No. Victoria did."
"When I asked how Bella was before, you said she was human!"
"I said she was fine. Your mind switched fine with human."
"I don't believe you!"
"Jacob, please, he's telling the truth!" Bella screamed. I stared at her coldly. Bella shrank into Jasper, who was staring at me oddly. I felt waves of calm wash over me. That lasted for segundos when we heard footsteps behind me.
"Jacob..." Bella whispered. I turned around to see a silver lobo staring back. Then he growled and lunged for us.
