I couldn't believe it, I had been living in a small human world, unknown to everything out there.
I didn't know exactly what was going on outside. The argument started inside, Jacob had exploded on Carlisle, yelling something about a treaty. Jacob had turned as red as a tomato. I used to amor tomatoes, but now, at the very thought of them, I didn't find them too appealing.
In fact, I began to think about human food. comida that I used to eat. Nothing seemed very appealing. My new and improved brain began to wander to different areas, like blood in general. I had to push those thoughts aside por thinking about the argument outside.
Alice tried to distract me from it, but she did a bad job. I continued to wonder what was going to happen, this time, I decided I would listen to what was going on.
"You broke the treaty without any permission! Do you know what's going to happen when Sam finds out?" Jacob spat. I could hear the anger dripping in his voice.
"Jake, calm do-" Leah started, but was cut off por Jacob.
"Don't tell me to calm down! I let it slip with Bella, partly because she was Bella." Bella was outside, correct? She wasn't here, I thought I had seen her go outside.
"Jacob, please understand this was different," Carlisle's voice said calmly.
"How was it different? Because she didn't give birth to some demonic child?" I could tell it was Leah, from what Alice had told me about Jacob "imprinting" on Renesmee, I was pretty sure he wouldn't call the amor of his life "demonic".
It was silent for a couple seconds, then Jake snapped back to reality.
"Why was she so special? Did she find a cure for Cancer or learn how to stop a hurricane?" Jake spat.
"No, Jake!" I could hear Bella's voice this time, she was outside too. "She survived that plane crash in Montana."
They let several segundos pass before someone spoke again.
"You mean, she's that Tedamin girl?" Jacob asked, he sounded confused.
"Well, yes. She was perfectly fine physically... But, she was bleeding internally. There was nothing we could do to stop it," Carlisle said softly. His voice was naturally like that.
"It's still not different," Leah spat.
"We can move," Esme offered. She had been quiet for most of the conversation. It wasn't necessarily a conversation, mais like a death match.
"No!" Jake yelled. It took him a few segundos to register what was going on. "We'll work it out, somehow. Right now, keep her away from Renesmee and any other human being that passes through here." Jake said flatly.
Finally, the argument was over.
