in the movie twilight why did edward tell bella to put her hair down when james was there? wouldnt that make the scent stronger?

Edward told Bella to put her hair down because it hides the scent more. He wanted to make sure they cover it as much as possible, and he knew that covering her neck with her hair would help mask the scent.

Edward told Bella to put her hair down because Bella has long hair so it covers her neck so the hair covers her scent yes your hair can sometimes be stronger if you put your hair down but it prbably smelled like shampoo!!!!! Hope it helped!!:)
