They had a disastrous first relationship, and then they started a second relationship without even attempting to discuss what wrong in the first one, which led to the second one's disaster (I hope you could follow that. LOL). Serena constantly strung him along, and he wasted too much time and energy on someone who only wanted him when she couldn't have him/when she had no one else. At this point, now that Dan has fallen in love with Blair, I honestly cannot see them ever realistically ending up together. Regardless of what I think, Gossip Girl will probably make these two endgame, and Dan will be stuck with Serena for eternity. :( posted over a year ago.
