I'm going to admit that my OTP is NOT epic, not even close, they're a lovable couple but not an epic one. To me for a couple to be epic they have to follow several requirements that 90% of the couples I've seen called epic haven't even come close to following.

I think people pay too much attention to what other people think , no offense. I mean is there anyone who can say to me that I can't think my OTP is epic ? It's funny! It's personal opinion of everyone. If someone think Chuck/Jenny or Bonnie/Damon are EPIC I'm as OK with that as when people say Delena or Jate are EPIC!People are free to put on pedestal whoever they want IMO.

it's just make me laugh when I see someone calling 90210 or GG couples epic... but who cares really..

^ I agree, the only couples I really consider epic are Polivia (Peter/Olivia, Fringe) and MSR (Mulder/Scully, X Files) but yeah I don't really care except it's kind of annoying. And as for the comment above you, yes and no. It is in a way it is the person's decision BUT there are certain guidelines in the shipper community that decide which couples are epic, your OTP is completely your decision, epic is pretty much over all with the shipper community.

I'm glad that you're somebody who's able to admit you don't think your OTP is epic just because they're your OTP, the main reason I made this question was because I'd seen people saying (insert random ship) is epic because they're my OTP.

Well, it depends on what people consider "epic". Everyone has different taste and opinions on couples. Obviously, if they're your favorite couple ever and are you're OTP its likely you'll consider them epic.

Epic is more of a description to a couple , like "amazing" just with much higher meaning. When people use it I don't think they include all those guidelines you are talking about. The problem of that is just that word "epic" lost it's real meaning long time ago. But again I don't think ANY TV Show couple can be called that way. If to be completely honest I consider epic only Jack and Rose.

The point of my previous comment was that I have no problem with people calling their OTP epic , because they are more showing the level of their love to the couple rather than include real meaning of the word.

^ Yeah, I see what you mean now. I personally would never call my OTP epic even to show love to them, in fact I show love for my couple by affectionately calling them ineloquent and quirky, or a self designated term from the male, fascinatingly odd but some people prefer the term epic.

Brooke & Lucas are my OTP but I wouldn't call them epic. I think they have had epic moments & i adore them together, but do they meet the "epic requirements"? Nope.

Agree. It's so hilarious when people call couples like Delena epic lol They're not even a couple. They haven't been through anything really.

I find this definition I believe this is an EPIC COUPLE: An epic love story is a story that has passed the realm of "merely a story" into a legend where it seems it couldn't have happened without a bit of magic.
