OK major help!!

So I'm going to "explore and find out myself" and make an account, but of course, i don't want to start off on the wrong foot so any warnings about...
~ blogging/posting
~ prices (anything to pay for)
~ ways to make gifs easily (websites or just regular explanations)
~ rules (kinda like the "always credit or reblog" thing)
~Basic "must knows"

I'm not totally hopeless though-I've seen the site before-
~i know that it's better to Reblog pictures/gifs than to post it again..but what if i re-edit it?? or actually find it on a different site??
~hating will only make me lose "followers"
~and the occasional "don't post things you'll regret later"

Oh and i've been warned that "it'll take over and become my life" O.O should i be worried and turn back??
