Zaria
It was crazy, one minuto we were just wandering aimlessly around looking fro the fonte of the noise and the seguinte this…thing, comes out from nowhere. We ran like crazy, not bothering to look back, we lost Alex in the way and we were freaking out.
“Where did he go?!” Iris asks, freaked.
I shake my head. “I don’t know.”
I’m close to tears and Iris looks pale, all of a sudden we hear this roar, followed por a scream, a girl’s scream. Iris and I share a look before heading into that direction.
Alex
I don’t know how or what to explain the cause of what happened these seguinte seconds, but I’ll never forget it. Brooklyn and I were running, scared to death and somehow one of us trips making us both fall down, and the gruesome monster before us barrels ahead.
Brooklyn screams, it sounded like a normal scream to me, but for some reason the scream lifts the monster up into the air and it flies across from us and lands harshly on the floor behind us. I grab Brooklyn and we both get up as we inch away from that direction.
“What happened?” Brooklyn whispers.
I shake my head, not trusting my voice. A segundo later there’s this searing pain from our heads, or mais accurately, our brains, or at least my brain. It ached, like someone was drilling a hole through it, and I saw Brooklyn clutch her head as I did.
Then a weird feeling erupts in my stomach, I can’t explain it, but as soon as it comes it disappears, and Zaria and Iris appear.
“Are you okay?” Zaria asks loudly against the sudden pouring rain and loud lightning and thunder.
I yell yes but a loud roll of thunder drowns it, just as loud as the night on the beach. A huge wind blows toward us, nearly kncoking us out of our feet.
“What’s going on?!” Brooklyn shouts.
Iris grabs the book out of Zaria’s hand and it opens, she flips through the pages violently, but apparently finds nothing. We grab each other’s arm and plunge through the violent storm erupting in our school, the lights flicker on and off, and we all hide in the janitor’s closet.
Strangely, the closet is seguro and no storm is in our way. We all look at each other.
“What was that thing!” Brooklyn exclaims.
“It just came out of nowhere…” Iris trails off, looking at the book in her hands, her eyes widen. “Oh my…”
“What!” I take the book and flip it to the front, where she was looking at it, Brooklyn gasps beside me and I hear Zaria take a breathe.
“This is impossibly insane,” I say as I look at it too, tracing the lines of all our last names embedded into the book.
Warning bells weren’t enough to explain how much trouble we were in.
