Prologue
Being summoned por the baddest criminal in town really makes a guy feel special. Not only did he request my presence he also has an assignment for me. He rarely gives out assignemts but when he do they are usually for a bigger scheme. This guy pays big bucks for whoever he hires. That is why many people don't rato him out to the police. The police never offer enough reward money and he always has mais money then the police could ever offer. I feel special just knowing the guy. Once I pulled up in his driveway my coração rate accelerated as his two guards ushered my into this room. I have heard about this room. The most brilliant and successful schemes have been hatched in this very room but when I came in, all I saw was a basement with sketches of machines. It wasn't as impressive as I had first hoped but still it was a honor being there.
It was basically a wooden basement with a few lawn chairs. A large escrivaninha, mesa was placed in the center of the room. The escrivaninha, mesa had tons of monitors that showed every aspect of the house. I could see the cozinha which had dirty dishes everywhere. Then he had a computer on the desk. A pen and pad was placed seguinte to them to the computer. If it wasn't for the opening of the door, Mr. Hyde wouldn't have even acknowledged that I had came in. He was too focused on his work to care who entered he basement.
The guard on my right with the black Mohawk shoved me into a nearby lawn chair. The other with long blond waves just closed the door and stood outside. "Welcome," said Dr. Hyde as he swiveled in his chair. His hands were clamped together and his white beard was already thicker from the last time I had seen him. His seemingly innocent brown eyes shimmered under the lamp light. "Do you know why I have called you here, Grasshopper?"
"Because of my expertise as an assassin," I said.
He gave a bellowing laugh at my assumption. "Correct, but that isn't the only reason. See you are the only one qualified for a job like this. I trust you." He stood up and shuffled to the whiteboard. Years of crimes took a toll on him. He had a picture of Byron Armstrong, a famous counterspy and hacker. "This man is an amazing spy and is very useful to the government but he is destroying our society."
"The society of crime," I said.
He nodded. "Yes, the society of crime. I need him dead and you are the only man I trust. If I get any of these other baboons to do it, they could double cruz me. I know that you need money for your mom and I have come to think of us as close friends even if we first met in the downtown area." I smiled in my head at the thought. He was bully a guy about money. One of the guards held him por his feet so he was upside down. I was a block away trying to hide a murder scene when we both heard the police sirens. We both had accidentally ran inside the same house. That was a couple of days atrás but I still can recall it like it was yesterday.
"I think I might be interested but before I can confirm anything I must have mais information," I said. A troubled glint sparkled in his eye but it quickly went away. I ignored it as a trick of the light.
"Smart man, many just dive right into the assignment without fully knowing what they are getting themselves into." He trudged to his escrivaninha, mesa and lifted some papers. "This explains everything. It mainly talks about his location, information on him and his latest accomplishments and I even gathered some weak spots. In these papers are the things that you have to do like get into Brookhaven Prep. That is where he works."
I interrupted him when I heard of the school. "Brookhaven Prep, as in the most secured place on planet. It is nearly impossible to break in there and no one knows its exact location unless you have been sent an invitation to apply."
"Ah, but luck is on your side. I know a lady who works there. She has been there undercover for the last 10 years. I feel confident enough to send you to her. As for the location, it is all in the papers which you may read over if you don't believe me."
That is exactly what I did. I scanned each page until I was done. He was right. It explained everything he just said. I did have enough courage to accept his proposal. "Everything is in order but why are you putting in so much effort in Byron Armstrong. He doesn't have anything to do with your side. He mainly keeps things in order like government secrets. He has nothing to do with criminal actions like ours."
"Well Grasshopper, that is for me to know and for you to die trying to figure out." He smiled a wicked, devious smile. He himself had secrets and you would never expect what he was up to until he exposed it to the whole world. Last ano it was a secret NASA program that was successful. It was so successful they he was able to force them close down the exploration to the moon program. No one knows how he talked them into it or why he wanted that shit down. "Do you accept it?"
"I guess so," I said. I didn't feel too comfortable breaking into a high secured school but I would do anything for money.
"Marvelous," He said. The guards handed me extra paper and some diagrams of the school. He had obviously put additional work into the project. I grabbed the pen they offered to me and I signed the contract. If I had known then what I know now, I wouldn't have been so quick to sign it. "You may go once you have finished. Bison, show him the way out. With a wave of his hand, bisão, bison that had the black mohawk took me to my car.
He glared at me for a bit but I ignored it. It was only until I was settled into my car that he finally said something. "I'm sorry about your mom." He shrugged before he strolled back into Dr. Hyde's house.
I had to breathe in and out to calm myself down. It was hard to think of my mom. Just last mês a tornado hit her in Nevada. She was injured from head to toe. Unfortunately, her insurance didn't cover the medical bills. She only has me to depend upon for money and support. If I don't get money soon, the hospital will take her house away or what is left of it. Then she'll end up n the streets. She can't live with me because I live too far for her and my job makes it hard for me to stay in one place. This is our last hope.

Okay, some friends and I made up a song we call, "The Hunger Games" to the tune of "Glad You Came"
Okay here it goes,
The sun goes down, the tributes come out.
And all I know, is Cato's here now.
My leg will never be the same.
The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games.
(All of the o o o o o o o 's... xD)
You cast a spell on me, spell on me.
You hit me like your present fell on me, fell on me.
I decided you work well with me, well with me.
So let's go somewhere no one else can see you n' me
Turn the lights out NOW.
Now I'll take you por the hand.
Hand you some medicine.
Drink it if you can.
Can you spend a little time?
Time is slipping away.
Away from us, so stay.
Stay with me, I can make, make you Victor.
(And then you repeat. ツ I think of this every time I hear "Glad You Came")

Now that you left me....
My soul is crying
Out to the world
Above me.
Now that you left me....
I couldn't figure out
How to go on with life
And I stayed right on....
With my despair.
Now that you left me....
You broke my heart,
And now it's covered in broken glass,
Oh broken glass......
It's time to mover on now...
But I can't help feeling the tragedy
Of that lonesome night...
How the world jeered at me.
The world hurt me.
There's no mais hope left,
So face the truth.
I am a piece of broken glass,
Shimmering in the dark and dreary night
My coração broke
When it felt like the end of the world...
And boy, was it the end of the world.
I was broken glass,
And nobody seemed to care about me.
I am broken glass.
I am heartbroken.
I am...
No more.
My soul is crying
Out to the world
Above me.

So here i am
stuck inside this house
im wondering if i
will ever make it out
now point wondering
if there isnt an answer
just try to belive
here we are
stuck in this house
back where we started
we wont ever make it out
just here to ask
even if there is no reply
if you believe
you turn to me
you say it slow
your voice is deep
"how do we know,"
i shrugg my shoulders
you reply
"I believe in you and i"
then i know
without a doubt
that these four walls
can keep up trapped
but you will always
amor me
even if you are
a stuffed monkey
stuck inside this house
im wondering if i
will ever make it out
now point wondering

Chapter 6
Okay, so were was I last time before I got hurt? Oh right now I remember. So battling demons, to be honest it scares the living soul out of me. Pretty much that's what those evil things are after. Alright your probably thinking what in the world is she talking about, She was hurt! Yes I realize that. I am just going to give you some info about those ugly things. Okay.
Rule 1-Never try to reason with them. That's just stupid and they will take your soul.
Rule 2-Please don't look into there eyes! If you do let's just say you will be sorry.
Rule 3-Always have a wepon.
Rule 4-Don't and I mean don't let them ever sneak up on you. You'll be a goner.
Rule 5 last rule- Never have a really hot guy helping you trying to fight these things. You will be focused on him! Not the demon!
That's why I blame Nick. Damn why did he have to be so darn hot.
I open my eyes and lucky me. Guess who's hovering over me? A demon.

Thursday
Lots to blog about. Today was interview day. The principal made all 8th graders go through a mock interview for the experience. We had to dress appropriate and respectable. I wore a tight black and grey dress with a black cinto, correia above the waist with black wedges. My interview guy was this old fart whose wrinkles hid his emotions. His face was so wrinkled that I couldn't tell whether he was smiling, frowning, or laughing. I think my interview went okay. When I got back with my círculo of friends, they told me how their interviewers were complimenting them and saying how much they loved this resumes and cover letters. He didn't say anything nice or mean. He did however joke with me. In other glorious news, Kyle took me out for ice cream. How cool is that?! He had chocolate and I had vanilla. We sat and talked. It was just the two of us. por seguinte week, Kyle will surely be my boyfriend.
