Thank you for asking this. I am on book 5 and hadn't come across this yet. I wonder if they are going to change this or add it to the series this early?
i've read all the books except for the most recent one. sookie isn't a fairy but she does have fairy blood in her, i think from her great great grandfather who she's met.
Yes you find out in Definitely Dead that she has some fairy blood (Book 6), then in Book 8 (From Dead To Worse) you meet her great-grandfather who is a fairy prince, which makes her 1/8th fairy. In book 9 (Dead and Gone) her relationship with him develops and the fadas take a larger role in that book's plot line
