i had already found out from when he was on a guest show he was talking about his boyfriend but it was a total shock to one of my friends (who fancied him)but wat should it matter hes a good actor and hes brill on stage

I'm gay (altho' I duno about cute!) but I certaibly don't think it's a shame. Makes me feel better that at least I'd have more of a chance with him :) Actually, I did meet him when he hosted Pride in London last year, but I was too busy blushing and babbling like an idiot to flirt with him...

I have to say this, Though I am not much in favor of same-sex hookups. I won't condemn anybody who chooses thart lifestyle (or if you belive the scienctific expalanation of "Born Gay"). but that's not a discussion for here.
What I mean is, I think John is most courageous in his admittng him proclivities, coming "out of the closet" as it were without frear of what it would possibly do to his career, in fact I think it had the opposite effect because it allowed him to be himself.
That is why I admire John so much, because he is who he is and he's unafraid to say it. So I say God bless John and his partner, Scott and may John's career continue to flurish for many years to come. (BTW, I think he's really cute too;o)) !
