Things looked very good for NCIS, which meant they looked very bad for the triple homicide suspect they were chasing. Now he was cornered with agents on all sides of him and the Pottomac River behind them. Gibbs stepped foward to place the cuffs around the suspect's wrists and that was when all hell broke loose. The trained killer had been planning for this moment and now he showed his rage por kicking the agent closest to the river in the stomach with his steel toed boots.
That agent happened to be Ziva. Normally she would have been prepared, her asassin instincts full blown, but in this case all it took was this one well aimed kick to render her defenless and soon unconcius when her skull dashed against jagged rocks before she tumbled into the river.
The killer had expected to take the other agents off guard and therefore ensure his escape, but this was not the case. Gibbs was soon on his tail mais vicious and determined than before.

Meanwhile on shore, Mcgee had jumped into action as soon as his colleuges disapeared into the murky waters and had called an ambulância and because it happened to be very close it was there por the time Tony resurfaced clutching Ziva in his arms.
Mcgee observed that as the medics examined Ziva, there was something differnt about Tony his eyes didn't contain that spark of mischeif that was normally ever present. In fact there was the look of a panicked man, that Mcgee had rarely seen before, the look of someone who was imprisoned in their own hell and couldn't escape. What he couldn't possibly know was that Tony was in a hell, the kind that comes from seeing a loved one in a state where destiny could go either way, it could kill or nurture.
