Not only have I seen this play in London - twice - I have also directed a version of it. Though the book and movies are fantastic, I absolutely love the eerie framework the play sets up around the story, about how Arthur Kipps hires an actor to tell his story. It adds a whole new layer to the tale, and makes it so much creepier.
