I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Spoiler Room: Walking Dead, The Flash, Castle, and mais spoilers | EW.com
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
(Gene Page/AMC; Cate Cameron/The CW; Richard Cartwright/ABC)
Spoiler Room: Scoop on 'Arrow,' 'Quantico,' 'Good Wife' and more
Spoiler Room: Scoop on 'Grey's,' 'Blindspot,' 'Murder' and more
Spoiler Room: Scoop on 'Blacklist,' 'Heroes Reborn,' 'Bones' and more
Welcome to the Spoiler Room, a safe place for spoiler addicts to come on a weekly basis to learn what’s coming next on their favorite shows and, hopefully, get a few of their own questions answered. If you want scoop on a specific show, send your questions to spoilerroom@ew.com.
The group bands together to do something pretty epic in the premiere — and it all has to do with how Alexandria is still standing. Visually, it’s probably one of the coolest things I’ve seen on the show thus far. On a smaller scale, Rick has a very interesting reaction to Morgan’s return.
What can you tell us about Jay Garrick now that he’s arrived on
Though Barry is initially hesitant to let a new mentor into his life, their relationship will eventually be mutually beneficial. “Jay is a Flash without a mask,” EP Andrew Kreisberg says. “On Earth-Two, everyone knew who he was. He didn’t have friends and family. He did it all on his own. Barry’s able to give him the friends and family and emotional support that Jay lost along the way on his path to being a hero. It’s a really nice relationship and it’s something we don’t have on the show.”
was just shooting Adam Baldwin’s return episode when my cohort Samantha Highfill got the scoop from the showrunners. “Given everything that happened in season 4 between [Slaughter and Castle], obviously Castle’s very hesitant,” Alexi Hawley says. “But we want to do something unexpected with it, to turn the story a little bit on its head, so it’s not going to be just a carbon copy of the episode we had before. We have some really great twists and turns.” Terence Paul Winter adds: “We’re going to see a new side of Slaughter that we weren’t privy to in the first episode that we saw him in.”
Usually that constant turnover was coming via ambo, but the show is going to solidify Brett and Chili as the permanent duo this year by sending them out on a very emotional case in the premiere. “There is a teenage girl who’s pregnant and has been shot, and they are taking her to hospital and she may not make it, so they have to stop and deliver the baby,” EP Matt Olmstead says. “The mom doesn’t make it. These things happen and they haunt you the rest of your life. We wanted to have a story upfront that rocks them both to their core, and also galvanizes them as a team.”
Now that Simmons is back on Earth, will she go up against Ward at all on
Though Simmons previously tried to off her former team member, she’s a little preoccupied at the moment dealing with her PTSD to think about Ward. “She’s separate from the team at the moment,” Elizabeth Henstridge tells me. “They’re wrapping her in a cotton ball, which is where she needs to be. There’s an isolation to her that really only Fitz can connect to because he’s been there. So no, Ward isn’t on her mind. She still hates him, but that’s not really her battle to fight at the moment.”
Next week, and Echo Kellum absolutely slays in this new role. “He really is a way for us to eventually bring on a new member of the team,” teases showrunner Wendy Mericle, “and somebody who has a strong tech background, but he’s also somebody for Felicity to talk to and have scenes with.”
totally make it seem like Angela and Hodgins are going to have another baby?
I caught that too. All I can tell you is that something big is coming for Angela and Hodgins, so a baby could be in the cards. “Around episode 10, we’re going to do something monumental between the two of them that will shake up everything from then on out,” showrunner Michael Peterson teases. Guesses in the comments section!
In the beginning, yes. But the possibility for Barnes to go bad is actually one of the things that attracted Michael Chiklis to the role. “The potential of it is exciting because it really could go in any direction, especially considering what we just shot,” Chiklis says, adding that episode 9 is “a really revealing episode with regard to my character’s backstory and why he is the way he is with regard to the law and everything.” So, maybe we should wait until episode 9 rolls around to decide if he’s good or bad?
You won’t have to wait long to see her, but her role on the show will be very different this year. “Last year, she largely was a sounding board and, later in the season, a love interest for Ravi,” EP Rob Thomas says. “This year, she is very much in the thick of it. She comes back in her assistant DA position and she gets asked by the DA to take over the Utopium task force. That puts her right in the thick of the action.”
Is there anything you can tell us about how Marcus will fit into
His allegiances are still up in the air. “Marcus is someone who will continue to fight for justice — whether it’s going to be for the Gladiators or against the Gladiators, we don’t know,” Cornelius Smith Jr. tells me. “He has his own set of morals, guidelines and principals that don’t necessarily bend to other’s impressions of him or what he should do.” That’s why there could be some tension between Marcus and Olivia when he returns. “It’s a fairly new relationship,” he says. “In that relationship you have everything that relationships have: Times where they get along, times where they don’t see eye-to-eye, there might be some friction.”
Worst news I’ve heard all week: We have to wait until
— but at least this trailer gives us a meaty taste of what’s next!
That’s a wrap on this week’s Spoiler Room. Be sure to email your questions to spoilerroom@ew.com or tweet them to @NatalieAbrams.
