When John Gilbert used the Gilbert device to trap and kill the vampires who'd been entombed in the old church cellar, I was rooting for him. He's a smart, calculating and methodical character, and I enjoyed how this character was written and handled.

Isobel is fascinating, beautiful, and haunting. She's the face that launched a thousand ships; and she's played flawlessly. Here's another ruthless figure. She's a tragic circumstance of fate. I really love her.

I love John and Isobel ! Damon can walk and kill people and everybody love him, I do not understand why people do not like John.
For me it is intriguing and interesting character .I love his style and confidence , especially with still has to deal with with stronger from himself.

I think they give a lot of drama to the show...and I really like to watch how elena handles everything
