I did, I feel bad for him, yes he wasn't a good dad to Elena but he died for her and it made me quite emotional. When everyone was waiting for Elena to wake up, I felt sorry that no one was there till he died. He was a good dad for bring his daughter back to life. He seems to care but never showed it. I didn't care much about him first but I have been watching the series over again and I felt bad for John and of course I was sad again when Jenna died
