	Jolie-Monster picked Bonnie: Damon's history with Caroline is when he raped her and used her for blood. A lot of their shared screen time is Caroline berating Damon or something akin to it. shrugs Daroline has light moments but for every 'aww' moment they have a 'wtf are you looking at' moment. Damon and Bonnie aren't much better with their interactions but at least they work together and when they do their plans typically work. I think Damon can be protective of both but I also think he'd rather have a powerful witch alive than another vampire who has nothing to offer to his life expectancy... posted over a year ago.

All he and Caroline ever had was only because of compulsion. She was basically his play toy and after she turned, Damon didn't even hesitate offering to kill her. True - - im trying to think what damon's mind thinking depending on what kind of situation it is: I reckon if there was some crisis going on he would save Bonnie first, due to her being a witch and being able to do something witchy and dramatic....though i do believe he would quickly save caroline as well posted over a year ago.

For 1, after everything he did to Caroline and after caroline started to remember after turning into a vampire, damon NEVER apologized to Caroline for the stuff he did to her or showed any remorse NOT ONCE! But Damon has shown he cares for Bonnie and has respect for her on numerous occasions and he's apologized to Bonnie for things he's done to her and tried to settle things with her on numerous occacasions more than once BECAUSE he obviously cares! Not to mention the way he was rubbing Bonnie's face as she lay on the floor dead in 2x18. People need to stop trying to play down Damon & Bonnie's relationship because they're DE, okay! So who knows. Bamon is never going to happen. It would be dumb if it did. They don't have chemistry and they don't like each other at all. It would just be dumb for a witch to date a vampire when she can't stand vampires. That's all. and plus eww that's weird and Bonnie wouldn't do that to Elena. She is a better friend than that. damon does respect her, but it's only because he loves Elena. Otherwise, he would have killed her in the first season when he tried too.
