what other versions of phantom are out there (books, movies, etc.) that are good?

'good' meaning it is worth spending my time on it. whether it is worth it for laughing at, or actually enjoying it, or whatever. thanks :)

1925 movie (Lon Chaney)
1943 movie (Claude Rains)
1990 movie (Charles Dance)
Yeston/Kopit's Phantom (CD)

Well, how are we defining "good"? Are you basing it off of what is the most aesthetically pleasing? Is closest to the original? Has the best quotes? Is worth it JUST so you can laugh hysterically at it?
If you go to the forums I've thrown up reviews for a pretty decent assortment of stuff in the Book Club and A/V Club threads. Maybe that will help you.
