Jennifer Marteliz

Seven-year-old Jennifer Marteliz was last seen on November 15, 1982 in Tampa, Florida. She was a block away from home and asked her friend to watch as she walked to her house. The friend turned away for a moment and Jennifer was gone.

At the time of her disappearance, Jennifer was living with her dad, Billy Marteliz and stepmother, but her mom, Kathy Longo had legal custody of her. Jennifer didn't get along with her stepmother and members from her mother's family contemplated about removing her from her dad's house. Both sides of her family have accused each other of hiding her, but they have been ruled out as suspects in her disappearance.

A family friend of Jennifer's, Thomas Weinicki claimed to have a psychic vision of Jennifer being abducted and strangled by two men, one of whom Jennifer knew and trusted. Thomas has not been charged in connection with Jennifer's disappearance.

Jennifer's case is classified as a non-family abduction. In 2011, Kathy self-published a book about her daughter's disappearance called "Jennifer, Where Are You?"
