Harmony Montgomery

Five-year-old Harmony Montgomery was last seen in Manchester, New Hampshire sometime during late 2019, but her mom, Crystal Sorey didn't report her disappearance to the police until November of 2021.

On November 27, 2019, Harmony, her dad, Adam Montgomery and her stepmother, Kayla Montgomery were evicted from their home. Various people reported seeing Harmony with Adam and Kayla in the days afterwards, but between December 6, 2019 and December 10, 2019, Adam and Kayla were seen with their other kids, but not Harmony. It is believed that Harmony disappeared sometime between November 28, 2019 and December 10, 2019.

Harmony was in the custody of Adam and Kayla around the time of her disappearance. Crystal lost custody of her a year before she went missing due to substance abuse issues. Harmony was in foster care in Massachusetts with her brother (who was later adopted) and Crystal wanted Harmony to remain in her foster home, but a judge decided to give custody of her to Adam.

Around Easter of 2019, Crystal had a video call with Adam and saw Harmony in the background looking scared. Afterwards, Crystal and Adam argued with each other which caused Adam to block all of Crystal's contact with Harmony. Crystal tried to find Harmony for months and repeatedly called the police to report her concerns about her daughter's welfare but to no avail.

Six weeks after Crystal reported Harmony missing, Adam was found in Manchester, New Hampshire living in his car, but Harmony was not with him and he claimed that he gave her to Crystal around Thanksgiving of 2019. In January of 2022, Adam was arrested and charged with felony second-degree assault for abusing Harmony during the summer of 2019. He was also charged with misdemeanor offenses of interference with custody and endangering the welfare of a child for failing to report Harmony missing.

Kayla was arrested a day later on one count of welfare fraud for having $1,500 worth of food stamps on Harmony's behalf between December 2019 and June 2021 even though Harmony was not living with her and Adam anymore. She was later charged with receiving stolen property in connection with a theft of firearms.

According to Harmony's uncle, Kevin Montgomery, he saw Harmony with a black eye during the summer of 2019. Adam told him that he "bashed her around the apartment" after leaving Harmony unattended with her infant half-brother and found her covering the baby's mouth to stop him from crying. Kevin also observed other abusive behavior from Adam such as forcing Harmony to stand in a corner for four hours and having her scrub the toilet with her toothbrush.

Adam has a history of violent behavior and was incarcerated for 18 months after shooting a man in the head during a robbery attempt in 2014. He later faced unrelated charges involving the alleged theft of two guns. In March of 2022, Adam's girlfriend, Kelsey Small was found deceased in a hotel room, but her death is not considered suspicious.

As of 2022, Harmony has not been located. Her case is classified as an endangered missing person.
