The song is ok, but I don't see the Hunger Games as a movie where the music has words. I see it as more of a film where the music helps set the mood. Yes, the song does suit the movie, but I think it's really more of a credits thing. It should play when the end credits start rolling, but I'd be fine if they just didn't play it at all during the film.

Really, I think it would be cooler if Hunger Games had a theme song, like you know how Harry Potter has Hedwig's Theme? Like that.

I would hate for it to be during rues scene because katniss is supposed to sing. Also i think this song makes more sense for the whole series, not the first book/movie. The "war outside", and then at the end with her kids "Safe and Sound" I love the song though! :)

I'm so upset that they didn't play it during the movie. I thought it would've been perfect for the cave scene.

The song is so emotional, and Rue's death is already so sad. I don't know if I could handle more sadness :(
I am disappointed it didn't play in the movie though. Because it would have been good in the cave scene as well. But maybe the Hunger Games shouldn't have songs with words :/ idk
