Zelda4Efas ^ I agree, it's a bit sexist and stereotypical but true. Most famous books have a male as the main protagonist or character (with Artemis Fowl being an exception, Artemis being the Antagonist first). That's why Twilight is so FAIL. female protagonists are fine in anime and Japanese stories cause Japanese are cool like that, but with books, it just never works. Eragon, HP, Artemis Fowl, PJ, and even in Kane Chronicles Carter is going to be Pharaoh, not Sadie. The fact is, girls tend to read more books, and stereo-typically look for the finer 'inside' traits of a guy, while stereo typically, the guy stares at babe magazines to drool over. At least that's my theory. I'm basing it all on stereotypes, so please don't take offense, but I think the idea of a heroine isn't too appealing because the guy population just don't want to read about a girl who's not a drop-dead-sexy chick. Which sucks, cause I cannot write in a guy perspective other than Percy in fan fictions. My protagonists are always female, which mean's they'll get no where on a book list if I decide to publish.
