If L.J. Smith was still writing her books, Delena would be endgame. but since they fired her from her own book series. Stelena will probly be endgame.

^ I strongly disagree. I honestly don't think that if L.J. Smith were still writing the novels that she would have automatically made Delena endgame. If I'm being totally honest, I actually think L.J. would have written a Stelena endgame, along with Bamon endgame. I think the problem with L.J. Smith is that she got pressured by her fans (mostly rabid Delena fans who were emailing her non stop about Delena and making them endgame in the books) and because of it, she felt pressured by them to incorporate the forced and contrived connection and relationship between Damon/Elena (Shadow Souls anyone?). If L.J. Smith really wanted to make Delena the endgame so bad and that was really her ultimate goal, why have the first four original books from the series end with Stelena reuniting happily and making them endgame? And also, if L.J. Smith really believed in the prospects of making Damon/Elena endgame, why did she create the special bond and connection between Damon/Bonnie? L.J. Smith seemed much more sincere in her emails to Bamon fans then she did to Delena fans. With Delena fans, I feel like she was just writing them lies and nonsense to make them feel good and confident about Delena in the books. I really don't believe in her heart that she wanted a Delena endgame if she created (and was rather passionate about) the Damon/Bonnie dynamic. L.J. Smith is all about a happy ending for all of her characters involved in her story. How would a Delena endgame equate to a happy ending for all of the major characters in the story? And why would L.J. Smith make Stefan/Elena Soul Mates/Twin Souls by incorporating her "Soul Mate Principle", also known as the "Silver Cord Of Destiny/Fate" if she didn't want Stefan/Elena as the endgame in her books? It just doesn't make sense. L.J. Smith wrote every single word in her books and ever since the beginning, she has made it clear that Stefan/Elena are destined for each other and are meant to be together. I believe that the original 4 books (The Awakening, The Struggle, The Fury and Dark Reunion/The Reunion), were the essence of the original Vampire Diaries story and to be completely blunt, I think the TVD book series should have ended with Dark Reunion. The Return trilogy basically ruined the entire story for me as a whole (with the exception of Stelena and Bamon). In the book Nightfall, there was clear evidence that Damon/Bonnie had a deep, strong, and growing connection and bond, and it was something out of the ordinary for Damon. Why did the next book 'Shadow Souls' all of a sudden display so much contrived Delena garbage, when the first four books + Nightfall nowhere near had that much Delena in it? And the thing is, the Shadow Souls book came out AFTER the CW show aired. Coincidence anyone? This so-called "deep love" between Damon and Elena came out of nowhere in Shadow Souls and that whole book made absolutely ZERO SENSE to me whatsoever as a result. I think L.J. Smith ultimately felt so much pressure to impress the Delena fans (due to the CW TV show) and because of it, she felt pressured to incorporate all of these forced and contrived Delena moments into her books. And there's no evidence to suggest that L.J. Smith actually really wanted a Delena endgame whatsoever, there is ZERO proof and evidence to support this. That was just the Delena fans trying to spin shit to make themselves look good and feel better. Don't believe anything that comes out of a Delena fans mouth because more then half of what they say is BS.

I know that L.J was fired because publishers didn't like where she was going with DE, but if I have to be 100% sure I don't believe DE would be endgame either way.. the way L.J talked about Bamon in her emails was so true, that sometimes I think she cared more about them then about both SE or DE. Plus, Bonnie is the best developed character in her books..
