Ball reports that the TV series won't be telling the same story. "Stephen Moyer will not be marginalized. Bill and Sookie may go through some rough patches that last maybe a little longer than Team Bill fans might like, but Bill and Sookie have a connection that will never die."

^^^ Yeah i hope it's like it is in the books. I know Bill still stuck around even once him and Sookie were over, but i just worry that AB will refuse to let ES have their proper time.

He did also say that ES WILL happen. So yeah, whatever. We all know it's unavoidable. And like zuntiz said, Bill and Sookie's connection may be permanent but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to be a romantic one.

I'm a little annoyed how Bill's character has turned out in True Blood. He's so old fashioned and annoyingly perfect. He isn't like that in the book. And he gets in the way with ES lol. Actually he's probably good for her but Eric needs to happen first.

^Totally agree. Alan Ball has messed with the entire dynamics of the Eric/Bill/Sookie triangle. He has a serious boner for Bill or Stephen Moyer.

hi! i think that AB can not ignore what the books say..because true blood series is based on the books....furthermore, i have read the books and i am quite sure that AB means that sookie and bill will have a strong bond but not in a romantic way...also in the book 10 (dead in the family) sookie and eric will be a couple.....all of us will know what AB is going to do with the story(and especially with sookie&eric) when we finally watch season 3 and copare it with the book 3(club dead)...

"Connection" doesn't necessarily mean that the romantic relationship will always be there, but with the way he builds the B/S pairing, it seems stronger than what the books implied. However, Alan can't ignore that E/S become something major in the story, so hopefully it will play out the way it's supposed to.

anyway in the covers of the books it is writen that the video transfer of the books in HBO...so AB can not ignore the books!

Not only would I want it to happen, but I PRAY that they don't get messed up. Anything can happen really, and I don't want some weird OOC storyline breaking them apart if/when they get together.

He is just saying that stuff to make sure the bill fans stick around. And im not saying that B/S will never get back together, but they won't last again even if they do. Yes, he made the relationship in TB stronger, but he also made the reasons for the B/S breakup even worse. So, yeah. It depends how you look at it. But Eric and Soookie will happen, and he has said as much. Bill is a liar, and I am sick of him getting away with it.

As far as I read Sookie and Eric are much more in love than the first wrong combination Vill and Sookie ever be, according to te books. If creator of the show decides to change the story that would be total bullshit! And even if that novel writer CH decides to end the story with Bill and Sookie, than all her novels with beautiful and complicated love story between Sookie and Eric, will represent a big fake fairytail! Thah would ruin the whole story line which is so far very well done. Sookie and Eric are true bloody good love story, not dumm Bill and Sookie relationship. And in the series, the sex scenes between B&S are so discusting and violent, that made me sick every time it happened!!! It is also extremely idiotic to change the book story so far, because Ana and Stefon are married in real life. That's just not right.
