Ok, I don't mean that in a mean way, I love Ireland but as I've never been and know very little about it and as I'm surrounded by Yorkshire accents I always imagine the characters talking in really English accents, not irish. But I actually like the idea of it being set in Ireland as that's where Derek Landy is from so it's cool with me. In the film I'd like them all to have Irish accents, except Skulduggery just because we aren't told if he's Irish or not and Landy said he had a different voice to the other characters. But yeah, it doesnt bother me but I just struggle thinking of accents in my head (but that's cos I'm a bit thick!!!)

I struggle thinking of accents too! Lol!! But I guess that's just 'cause we're all used to the accents we grew up with!
Being Irish myself, I always hear them speak in Irish accents! It's really cool to know that an Irish book, by a fantastic writer, is being read in other countries!
I hope for the movie though, as you say, they have Irish accents, but I hope they're real Irish accents and not the ones that make us sound like leprechauns!!! I hate those accents! Thanks for explaining your pick!

Sort of. Not being racist or anything like that. It's cool that its set in Ireland! I don't know much about it though. But since its always been kind of mysterious to me, it seems somewhere likely to be the cradle of magic =)

Well, no not if Derek's from Ireland its normal. Its very normal. But like skulgirlchloe I dont imagine there accents Irish. I do English. But if Dereks from Ireland, its totally normal to have it based there. I want to live in Dublin!!
