It had been almost an hora since Sherlock went down to the basement. Joan had began to pace in front of the door wondering who could be down there, she knew it wasn't Irene as she was in prison. She stopped pacing to open the door, she heard Sherlock's voice but didn't recognize the other one. She crept quietly down further reaching the door at the bottom, she carefully opened the door and peered through the small gap.

'So let me get this right, you want me to help you get rid of a drug tubarão you owe a bunch of money too?'
'Exactly.'
'Sherlock scoffed.
'You've got to be kidding.'
'Come on Holmes, help a buddy out.'

Joan took a step back from the door but accidentally stood on a loose floorboard. Sherlock heard the noise and opened the door.
'Joan.'
'Sorry..I was just leaving.'
She ran back up the stairs.
'Joan!'
Sherlock ran up after her as Oscar followed behind. He found her in the living room.
'Joan..'
Oscar appeared moments after him.
'Who is this guy? I'm guessing he's the one who came to the door?'
'Yes he was but...'
'No buts Sherlock, I want the truth.'
Oscar laugh slightly.
'Oh lady you don't want that.'
'Oscar shut it.'
He walked past Joan and started to examine the living room.
'Sherlock, the truth.'
'Oscar is one of my old associates.'
'Who you 'occasionally took drugs with?.'
He looked over at Oscar.
'Yes.'
Joan shock her head.
'We have almost been married for two years now Sherlock, i thought we were past keeping secrets.'
'I'm sorry, he just turned up on the doorstep what was i suppose to do invite him in?'
Oscar cleared his throat.
'Should i leave? Don't want to watch a domestic.'
'No, sit down.'
He took a assento on the couch.
'Joan, we can't have him here. If that drug tubarão finds him here...'
'Go and phone Gregson.'
Sherlock went into the cozinha and Joan shut the doors behind him. She turned back to Oscar.
'The truth, now.'
'What you heard downstairs was true. Sherlock and I met in a drug den, we would help each other out in exchange for gear. I helped him through some touch times.'
'Irene.'
Oscar nodded. She heard Sherlock finish his call so she moved away from the doors so he could open them.
'Gregson will be over shortly, he wants to talk to Oscar.'
'Why?'
'Cause you could help us find this man.'
'No way man, if he I ratted him out to the cops he send his men after me.'
'Well, better hope he doesn't find you first.'
