This is the Institute in Brooklyn. It is an old gothic cathedral that is run by the Lightwoods. The Lightwoods live in the Institute full time but others can live there if they are approved to by the Lightwoods. Only Shadowhunters can open the doors.

Fallax took the jeans, but pushed the shirt aside. He pulled them on and stood himself up shakily. The demon stood there for a moment as he got progressively more lightheaded rather quickly.

The red-haired demon took a wobbly step forward and paused for a moment, his right temple throbbing with excruciating pain and his body feeling weak with both light-headedness and head trauma.

He heard the door open and figured that they had arrived at the entrance. Fallax cautiously stepped through it into the rest of the, to him, pitch black world. "So...this is it, then, huh? Just gonna leave me?"
