I wrote another drabble :] It's been in my head for a little while and I finally wrote it when I had the chance.
Disclaimer: I don't own Gossip Girl..not even a bit.

Serena furgão, van Der Woodsen lies to people (and herself) all the time. She thinks she's a pretty great actress for being able to slide her ways with her lies and not have anyone notice it at all. She thinks she's an even better actress since she believes in her own lies sometimes.

"I didn't come back for you" was the first of her non-ending lies to the people she cares about(it wasn't that big a lie since it was half true, but it was a lie nontheless). It was easy to say. Very easy. And getting Nate to believe that was easier. So she started lying, even mais and mais frequently then.

She lies to herself even more. She lied that it was completely platonic between her and Nate the summer she became his fake girlfriend. She lied that it wasn't ohmygod his lips taste so amazing when they kissed (platonic of course) to make someone else jealous.

She lied to herself before she even knew it was possible. And the biggest lie she ever told herself, the one she only realized now is; Blair Waldorf is not the reason, she is the excuse. Truth is, she was just scared the whole time. Scared that if she fell for someone too hard they would break her heart. So she ran away from the one guy that could, she tells herself this is for Blair. But she was just running. She is Lily's daughter after all.

And right then, right now, she is living a lie. Tripp is right for her. Tripp is good. Tripp is what she needs. And for a moment there, she actually believes it.
