Did anyone else think they were already a couple before they official time they got together in Deathly Hallows?

I'd always believed that they were a couple por the end of The Halfblood Prince.
1. During Dumbledore's funeral, Ron is holding Hermione and comforting her. Yes, that could have been a friends moment instead of a pairing one, but both Harry and Ginny and Lupin and tonks - 2 canon pairings por that time - are described similarly.
2. In Grimmauld's Place they fall asleep holding hands. Another couple gesture.
3. The way Hermione reacts when Ron leaves reads, to me anyway, like it was her boyfriend who'd left and not just a friend she was in amor with. The way he sees her staying with Harry instead of leaving with him as choosing Harry over him reads the same way.

Am I alone in this? I was surprised when I read fãs here saying that the couple only got together after they kiss during the Battle of Hogwarts. I actually thought that was just their first on-screen kiss and possibly not their first kiss.
