im a new Rob Thomas fã and there are so many things i would like to know.where does his música inspiration come from

His inspiration comes from his life. His marriage to his wife, Marisol and what they go through in that. His childhood in Florida/Georgia. Even his cachorros or a book he's read. He just takes in life and writes a song about it. :)

EX: 'her diamonds' = about how he felt when his wife was batteling an autoimmune disease.
'ever the same' & if you're gone' are also about his wife/ for his wife.
'3am' was written about when his mom was batellin cancer & so on...
