No mais Resident Evil for Shinji Mikami?

Since Mr. Mikami isn't affiliated with CAPCOM anymore, what is to become with Resident Evil? Will the series continue as strong as ever, or is it doomed without Mikami's guidance?

*I amor the game either way, I was just wondering.
