Depends on the length, of course, and whether or not I'm left alone (as Lori said), but a typical best-seller length novel I can finish in a few hours. Whether those few hours are contiguous or spread out over a week, I dunno. I can say that I do try to sneak a few paragraphs here and there whenever I can, if the book has really grabbed me.

I'm much like harold...though I'll forgo sleep if I'm really into a book. If it's an author I love that doesn't write many new things, I will try to stretch it out longer...just to make it last, but that can be torturous when I just want to devour it.

It takes me a day for a 800 page novel on a school day. Mostly because of the constant interruption. But sometimes, I read a 500 page book in 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Anything longer and I start feeling lazy. But if it takes longer than a day I usually have a good excuse.

there was this one book i bought and i haveent finiahed it yet and i bought it like 4 months a go but thats because ive been reading others books in between because the one i bought is good but its just not top on the reading priority list!

depends on the book, really. if im really into a book i can read it anywhere from one hour to two days, depending on the length of the book and whether or not im working after school.
if i dont like a book it can take me months! seriously.
it also depends on how challenging the book is. i once read a book about ww2 (the forgotten soldier), and it took me three weeks to read because there were so many words i didn't know (alot of them were german) and i had to cheack the dictionary every two minutes to make sure i understood.

If I did finish a book in three days I'd be proud of myself, which sounds incredibly sad, but I truly am too slow for my own good!

It depends.... I took longer 4 Last of the Mohicans and Pride and prejudice only because when I first read them, I had a hard time understanding them, but after a few chapters i got the hang of the wrting style.

I'm a really fast reader. I can read any book in a day granted I have the time. Most really good books I can't put down so I wait until I have time to read it all at once. I can read about 100 pages in an hour and I read books ranging from 300-500 pages usually so I never need more than five hours. XD

For me, it doesn't matter how long the book is or how short. If I read a book I love, I can finish it in a matter of hours. Once, I read an eight-book series in four days. If I hate a book, it can take me two weeks. If I even bother to finish it.

´totally depends on the book and the situation. I like taking my time reading no rush but like 3 thousand years. Sometimes I´m so excited I read it in 1 day if I´m free. If I don´t like a book I could spend a whole month reading it

If I really like a book I will sometimes prolong it, then other times I devourer them (like Hunger Games series) like the book I'm reading now is a translated book so some parts of it are dry, but its still good I want to know how it ends!

I'm usually a slow reader and a week is usually quick for me and means the book is amazing. If I can't put it down I'll usually read like 80 or so pages in one evening because I don't have much time because of school (The Wind Singer comes to mind). But when I don't have much to do and I come across a book that I can't put down, I'll read it all day (Harry Potter, Northern Lights and The Giver all come to mind). Especially if I'm sick I'll just lie in bed and read all day (I read Matched when I was sick and it took five days, which is quick for me). Although occasionally I'll come across a book that's so good that I just CAN'T PUT IT DOWN, and it also happens to be really short, and I know I should be doing something else but I just sit and read it all day and finish it in one day (actually, I think I'm just talking about one particular book here... The Giver, actually...) although that's not even entirely true because I didn't finish the whole book in one day, I had one chapter left which I read the next day.
