Eh. I believe in the whole 'fabric of time and space' thing, so I think that it'll be possible eventually. However, I don't think anyone will actually ever time travel because that would be disastrous, and if people are smart enough to invent a time machine, they'll be smart enough to know time travel is stupid.

I doubt itll be 'never' - technology improves every year, so imagine what it's gonna be like in 200 years.

No. But it sounds interesting... do explain!

If it was ever going to be invented we would already know about it, because people would be traveling back in time to our present for something. I mean surely someone would have went back in time and stopped all the major disasters and catastrophes like Pearl Harbour and 9/11 and so on. That's my take on it any way.

@Delilah_Scruggs: My theory is that if they DO have time travel, they'd probably be smart enough to not use it. The technology might exist, but just not be in use.

@r-pattz: That is true too. Either way, I still doubt that it will ever be invented. But I'll tell when I get there if it has been or not. :)

But then again, maybe if it's 200 or so years into the future, they won't really care about 9/11 (well they will, but doubt they'd go back in time simply to save the towers.. or people may have tried but failed, or it could be illegal because it would change the world as we know it, sort of like the Time-Turner in Harry Potter?) and then stuff that MAY have happened tomorrow may not happen because of time-machines. Do you know what I'm saying?? I hope it makes sense, I can't really put it into words. Like, whether there's time travellers or not, there will still be natural disasters happening throughout the world, some that may be unable to change through the help of a time machine. But something that may happen on May 2nd 2011 won't happen because a time traveller prevented it. But we won't know this, because it didn't happen.

@Delilah_Scruggs: Actually, another random thought (not trying to be argumentative or anything), what if time travel was the reason for, say, 9/11? I mean, there's that whole domino effect, right? Well what if, in the world that these time machine inventors came from, there was a World War III beginning in 2000, for some reason or another, and so they averted it. What if, in doing so, they wiped out all the leaders of the war, but there were still those few terrorists with radical ideals left, and 9/11 was the alternate to WWIII?
