Again, car from the 70's.
I wouldn't really trust a button not to break or to keep my car safe either one.

My car uses one like the Fob/Button picture and it's just like a normal key

How do you figure? You cant insert the fob into the button and turn it.

I think most people that actually drive would definitely prefer a key.
There's something very satisfying about turning a key to start the engine xP
Except of course when the engine craps out in winter. That's never fun lmao...

I've only ever seen them pushing a button to start the car on Top Gear. And it looks so boring xD

@MikufanMike I know but the Fob on the pic for Fob/Button is the key to the car. If you insert it into a hole in the dash, the car will start working.

Some cars do it that way. My mothers is like that. I think with Nissan you can leave it in your pocket. I tend to like things old fashioned. Its one of those things that makes me wonder why they bothered to change it. I understand they are harder to steal now tho

Harder to steal keys or the cars? Because I read that there are now devices that can copy the signal made by remote keys to lock/unlock a car and burglars can use it to open the car. If this is true or not i don't know but i wouldn't be surprised it were.

No your absolutely right. They were harder to steal. Keys and fobs are serialized to their respective vehicle. The key from my 2011 wont work in the 2013 for that reason even though they have the same cut in them. It seems there is always a way around these things. Not only can they control your door locks but I saw on the news about a month ago that modern cars can be hacked like computers. Theres always a way in thru places like tire pressure monitoring systems because they work wirelessly. I dont know if they can actually steer it but I think they can mess with the horn lights airbags and even cause it to stall out. Theres no way to get around it it seems. Im pretty sure its very hard to do tho and you would have to know what you were doing. I honestly wonder sometimes if the terminator movies were predicting the future.
