Three perguntas I was thinking about.

If we could theoretically get every single neuron connection in the brain mapped out, copied, and organized and were able to duplicate it perfectly and insert it into a computer - would the computer be able to make the cognitive thought, sense of identity, and functions and basically do everything that a real brain could do?

Follow up question, if we were to some how perfectly replicate a person through a cloning machine down to the exact cells, would that person be you? Would the person behave in the same manners? Would they thing the exact same thigns?

Follow up - follow up question, if we were able to track every small detail, item, molecule, windspeed, etc of a hurricane and had the ability to replicate the core structures that made the hurricane itself, would we be able to create the exact same hurricane and produce the exact same damage?

Bonus: If your respostas varied between the three, what made one situation different than another to produce different responses as all three come to the core idea of being able to know every small detail of a very complex organism and replicating it - then asking the pergunta if it is the same and could function the same?

About the first Question, I'd say yes. For the most part I believe. I really don't have much to say and analyze in here but Technology has come a long way and continues to advance. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made its appearance and keeps evolving. The way the Brain factions is not that different from that of a machine's in the first place so when putting all the details in it, I believe that this is possible. Covering all the functions that that the Human one is used for. It'd be another matter entirely if it was a pergunta about the computer being able to imitate EVERY aspect of a Human Being.

About the second, no. This person might be a clone of mine, a copy in a biological sense but I'm pretty sure that their thought patterns, manners in general and sense of identity in no geral, global could be different. Those are formed within a person as they progress through life. Information that is being gathered instead of pre-existing. Everything depends on the kind of influence that is going to be received in the meanwhile. It is very likely that a clone of mine could be found harboring different ideas, views, likes and dislikes, interests, etc. Even forming a very different personality as a whole.

As for the Hurricane, close to the anterior Question. A Hurricane has one result. That which is unchanging. A force that if were able to arreios, arnês, chicote de fios would do the very same over and over again. No different than having the means to light up a fire. What I think is debatable is the matter of the ''exact same damage''. I'd say that this could go out of calculations when released. You provide the core stractures as you said but depending on the circumstances / other factors that play a role too (environment or weather for example) it could grow either stronger or weaker. The base is the very same I can say but in the progress, the intensity of a Hurricane could still change !!!!
