Twinkling lights in the woods; anyone know what they could be? Details below.

So I posted this on tumblr as well.

"I keep seeing these twinkling lights in the woods at night. I started calling them 'fairy lights' because that's what they remind me of. Like they blink on and then twinkle passed the window drifting like a feather. I thought that they were fireflies at first except they are a light blue/teal color and always drift around in the same exact spots. I know they can’t be fireflies because I have seen them with fireflies and the color (as mentioned) is definitely off. They look kind of like natal árvore lights or little twinkling stars. But as mentioned above, my best comparison is to the fireflies.

I also know it can’t be fireflies because I only started seeing them last summer. Up until then I hadn’t seen them and I know that fireflies hung around way before last summer lol.

But it’s driving me nuts because I have no clue what they are! My two theories; some other kind of bug? Or sobrenatural shit because I'm a believer in the paranormal.

I looked it up myself and the closest thing I found to what I’ve seen (so far) is this; link Someone else’s experience but mine don’t have that heat lightning like flash.

I also found this that sorta describes what I’m seeing; link But other than these I haven’t found anything else regarding firefly-like teal/blue lights.

I was also looking into medical issues relating to eye-sight, but nothing there seemed to describe what I'm seeing either either.

Idk I just kinda wanted to share this, maybe someone here has a theory."

I haven't been able to capture them on my camera phone camera because they are too dim and the camera won't seem to pick them up.

To add: I just found something called 'the blue ghost firefly'. But I have to rule them out too because it looks like they are only native to the Smokey Mountains. I definitely don't live por the Smokies.

Wheezing at the fact that this is now sparking mais similar stories. Glad we could all solve nothing together.

Well, there are various Theories that could be made about this.

1. Perhaps, you might have witnessed the Fading Lights of those who have passed away. Maybe, these Woods serve as a Concentration Ground for lost Souls too.

2. If it was an angel or some other kind of Spirit, it could concern you just like the segundo artigo suggested (Even if said Color wasn't mentioned. It is interesting but I wouldn't place my trust on that alone. There are various theories regarding Guardian anjos and Angelology in general as well as each Section of sobrenatural Studying) or they might have something to do with the specific location. You could procurar it up.

3. There might be really fadas who are playing or want to pull a prank on you.

4. It could be the typical scenario of Aliens trying to communicate with lights.

5. There might be nothing out of the ordinary and light just happens to get reflected on that spot.

Have you gotten close to the Woods? I guess, the most effective way to find out would be to do that at night. Exploration FTW!

I'm pretty much fascinated por the Paranormal as well as the sobrenatural too !!!!

1 is an interesting theory. I'll have to look into the history of the land in my area. #2 Right now I'm leaning towards this because that artigo is the closest to what I see. The color is a lighter shade though. I also lean towards this because I don't feel scared or threatened por them. They're kind of just there. #3 Is another one I lean towards because they kind of remind me of what I imagine when I read those folktales about fadas leading people into the woods and whisking them away. #4 They don't give me the UFO vibes. But I did consider this and it does come up on google. #5 That's the third one I lean mais towards. Probably something natural I just don't know how to describe it to google it right lol?

And yes, sort of. My backyard is the woods. I've only been out there a few times though late at night and that was before I started seeing them. Maybe I should go out there one day--problem is, they come out pretty late at night/early in the morning so I'm usually asleep when it happens. Which is mais proof that they aren't evil--if they were I wouldn't be able to fall asleep with 'em around. I also amor the paranormal stuff hence why I lean mais towards those explanations. I also believe in ghosts and believe I have seen them (that's how I know I wouldn't be able to sleep if those things were vicious).

I thought of that but I also know how the headlights look when they shine through the window, these lights don't look like any headlights I've ever seen. But yeah, I'll make another post if anything else happens. I doubt it will because it's been like this for a good ano now and they haven't done anything different or peculiar--aside from existing that is.

It could be, but they'd have to be pretty distant because upon looking out the window I never see anyone.

I should also note that I saw them during a pretty wicked thunderstorm just this week. I doubt that kids would be out in a storm like that, especially that late at night.

I think it could be just fireflies. I saw the same colored lights right in my backyard. I first saw them towards the sky and I freaked out a little and then looked at my lawn and realized they were just fireflies. They did have that strange light blue color you mentioned.

I am currently attempting to find an answer to a very similar situation. I was at a friend's when he and his mother told me that every night, at midnight, behind their apartment, there are bright laranja lights the flicker from the topo, início of one árvore then they fly down and would come close to them, but were to fast to see them clearly. They said the little lights act like they are playing. They chase each other around, staying only in the vicinity of the árvore they came out of, the old abandoned house seguinte to the tree, and my friend's back and side yard. I didn't believe them, but was at their place when his mom hollered at us in the driveway that they were out. And sure enough, from the very topo, início of this one tree, one, then two, then three, then a bunch of tiny (maybe acorn size or smaller) bright (what looked like round from that distance) started flashing, in one spot. Once there were a bunch flashing, or twinkling, they started flying around like they were just zipping everywhere. I started taking pictures with my phone, both with and without the flash, randomly, and managed to catch 4 pictures with these lights. I tried to upload more, but it only let me upload one. This is the best picture I got. The light is on a rough, wood surface part of the front door of the old, abandoned house seguinte to the tree, plus, there are no lights in front of the house, and I took this at an angle, so there's nothing that explains something shining on the door. Plus, as I added, to us, it looks like a little person with a head, arm, and 2 legs. Whatever they are, they "played until 1am and returned to the topo, início of the árvore and the laranja lights disappeared. My friends say this happens every night. Same time. You don't get a creepy, spooky, or evil vibe from them. It's like happy kids out playing tag or something. I am going to go back and get mais pictures. I just wanted to TRY to figure out what we are dealing with. Fairies, angels, bugs, something else??? Please help if anyone has a clue. And yes, I believe in the paranormal and anjos and such, so don't think I'm going to think you are crazy. Thanks.

I wish I could answer this question! I live in Canada and it January 3rd, 2023 in the dead of winter. I see then in the trees here at night, I see them in groups in the trees flashing on and off. We are wondering what they are also, as in the morning we see nothing in the trees and it's not from the houses around us. We see them mover in different order every other night!
