What is a famous saying or phrase that has always confused you?

for me it'd probably be "I'll slap you into seguinte week."

I mean I understand it I just think it's stupid. If you slap someone INTO seguinte week then that obviously means you'd have knocked him unconscious to the point where he won't wake up till the seguinte week. On the other hand if you threaten to slap someone TILL seguinte week, they would be far mais compliant I'm sure.
