So you have come to hear the tale of Hogwarts. I Hogwarts, there are four houses. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house represents something different and is represented por an animal. Gryffindor is well known for bravery, daring, nerve, and chivalry. The house colours are deep red and gold, and the house is symbolized por a lion. The entrance to the common room is on the seventh floor hidden behind a portrait of the Fat Lady. In order to get into the common room, Gryffindor students must say the correct password. Hufflepuff is well known for loyalty, fair play, honesty, and tolerance. The house is symbolized por a badger, and the house colours are yellow and black. Its common room is near the kitchens. To get into the common room, rather than giving a password you must tap a fake barrel in the rhythm "Helga Hufflepuff." It is the only common room to have a way to keep students from other houses out (by dumping vinegar on them). Ravenclaw values wit, creativity, and wisdom. The house is symbolized por an eagle and the house colours are blue and bronze. The Ravenclaw common room is located in a high tower, and the interior is decorated with blue and bronze. To enter, rather than give a password, one must answer a riddle from an eagle door knocker, such as "Where do vanished objects go?" or "Which came first, the Phoenix or the flame?" Slytherin values ambition, cleverness, cunning, resourcefulness, and pure blood heritage. The house is symbolized por a serpent, and the house colours are green and silver. Its common room is located in the dungeons, underneath the Black Lake, and hidden behind a stone wall. The password for the 1992–1993 school ano was "pure-blood". Many people believe students sorted into this house often get involved in the Dark Arts. You are placed in these houses via a "Sorting Hat" which not only has some pretty badass ruffles, but is also able to read through your mind to identify which house you are best suited for. If you do not want to be placed in a certain house, just say so and the hat will not place you there. Your decision is valued. There are things called House Points. These points are given throughout the schoolyear as rewards for doing especially badass stuff, such as actually getting a pergunta correct. At the end of the year, two things will happen. 1st is that you will face off against an incredibly powerful evil wizard that is hellbent on world domination and will most likely win, but you will be sent to the hospital and miss out on the badass feast. 2nd is that ALL the points are added up. The house with the most points wins the House Cup, a completely pointless trophy that you will probably never see unless you are in detention. This cup is mainly a bragging right for the teachers.
