Is it illegal to kill a burglar?

Ok I'm really terrified right now. Summer brings two aspects with it that I hate; 1. Allergies. 2. Burglars.
Normally the burglars just steal stuff, but two days atrás a girl was raped por a burglar in her own bedroom just a few blocks away from my home!

If I keep a faca in my nightstand and kill the burglar if he's in my room, would that be illegal or self-defense?

Self-defense, but you do want to check on the peculiarities of your country's laws. In the US, it's not been unheard of for burglars to sue the homeowners (and win!) for injuries suffered. I'm not kidding.
