Who here has ever seen a band live? Is it ever any good?

I've never been to a show, concerto and have only listened to música via technology. There are bands that i adore, but i am not a social person and do not see the appeal of standing in a crowd of tall, loud people blocking my view of the show and screaming too loud for me to hear any of the songs.
Are concerts actually mais to it than that?

lol here's me again, only showing up on the aleatório spot to talk about music.

YES concerts are amazing, in my opinion.

The bands I've seen live are Mayday Parade, We Are The In Crowd, There For Tomorrow, New Found Glory, Fun, the Wonder Years, David Cook, Fireworks, Sparks the Rescue, the Downtown Fiction, 30 segundos to Mars, Lifehouse, Daughtry, Fairweather, Tonic, Cavo, the Dangerous Summer, and some other even less famous bands lol.

But yeah. I adore concerts mais than anything else in the world (except the musicians in the bands). XP I'm not a social person either, believe me, but there's just something about being on the floor with a hundred other kids who feel exactly the same as you do. There's something about feeling the baixo in your coração and the drums in your stomach. It's not really about the social aspect, of talking to people, it's just about being there together. It's all about the música bringing everyone together. It's about how, on the floor, with the música blaring, it doesn't matter who you are, or how much money you have, or where you're from, or what your grades are, or what your past is or where you're going or anything. The focus is all on the band on the stage. It's just surreal, seeing your heroes up there having the time of their lives. You know that you're making their dreams come true the same as they make you smile every day.

Yeah sometimes it can be annoying when there are four mosh pits going at once and everyone's pushing back and forth and left and right, but if you don't like that you can find a spot off to the side and geléia, geleia out in your own corner. And believe me, the música is so loud that no matter how many people are screaming you can always hear the band. If you sing along on the topo, início of your lungs, you can hardly hear yourself.xD

But the people... Even if you think you won't like the people, you just might end up making some new friends anyway. I'm one antisocial fucker and I've made mais friends at shows than at school, okay? All the people at shows would be as passionate about música as you would be, you'd have something major in common and it's easy to talk to people. Everyone's so easy going at shows. Of course, I don't really know about the Marilyn Manson type kids (just using that because according to your perfil you like them), but I'm into pop-punk and the kids are resfriador, refrigerador than you can imagine. Everyone's so nice and connected and it's just sweet. Like at one show I went to in October, when the security guys passed around water bottles everyone shared (the guys were so chivalrous, omg). At one I went to last month, everyone was older than me and I was asked multiple times if A.) I wanted help crowd surfing and B.) if I was okay. It was nice. xD The people really are sweet though, all of them.

And looking at the bands you're in to, Three Days Grace and that kind of music, those would be fun shows. You should give it a go. You have nothing to lose and a lot to potentially gain. ;)

The MCR/Blink tour last year? If that's the one you're talking about, I've heard it was overhyped actually, that all the kids were so drunk that it wasn't even worth going, and people were going at it in the back rows. lol ignore me if that's not what you meant though. xD evanescence would be sweet live though. ^_^
