can someone tell why in cat and rato desenhos animados does the ironing board always land on the cat?

i mean the rato opens it and it stands still but just as the cat arrives it just happens to fall

Well,It's a cartoon.I mean,if you notice you always find that the cat is playing the bad guy and the rato the good guy.So,the cartoonists kind of have a tedency to favour the mouse.
