Being the on-the-fence person I am, Im going to give you two sides of the story, and YOU should choose which one of them matters.

1) (Dad) Quitting is as hard as heck, my mom quit, but she continued smoking a ano afterwards. Maybe the reason your dad is lying to you two is because he doesnt want it to either upset or influence either of you. Im sure he's hiding it for a good reason. I personally dont like being put in the spotlight, so if I were in his position, I wouldnt like it if someone told on me.

On the other hand...
Smoking, as we all know, can be very hazardoud, excpecially if done in a low-ventalated area such as a car. Also, if you ever drive in that car, than you could be at risk of getting sick too. My great grandfather has gone through countless surgerys, two of which the doctors gave him a short amount of time to live, (although he survived WAY past the doctor's due date)

Well anyways, I know im not much help, but just pick whicchever one sounds best for the entire family.
