How can I stop doing this?

Ok, so I pick the skin on the sides of my thumb, most times to the point of where it hurts really bad, and is bleeding, but I can't stop. help!

Try keeping a band-aid over it or something like that. If that doesn't work, try getting acrylic nails - it sounds silly but they'll inhibit you from picking.
