Acting? Am I to old?

Hi, so I just turned 15 about a mês ago, well I was told when I was younger I could have gotten into atuação and now that I think of it I kinda want to try atuação and see how I like it. Is 15 to old to just get into acting? What would help me be prepared for it?

And no. Most audition offers online are scams, though, so watch out.

It's never too late to try anything. Of course you're not too old! You're still at school! Best to start now before you leave school, so that if you decided you wanted to do it as a career, you'd have enough time to try it out. But you might not want to go there career wise, I don't know. I want to be an actor myself. I'm going to get my GCSE drama and then apply for a drama school, and if I can't get in there then I'm going to see if I can study drama and english at university.

I don't know what conselhos I can give you to help prepare for it, other than give it a go and enjoy it! If you decide it's not for you, then you can abandon it, but if you find that it's something you're enjoying and feel comfortable with, then stick with it. Go for it, or you'll end up regretting it.
Trust me, you've not too old to start. I go to a theatre school and people of all ages start there, a lot of them are older than you. Sometimes they stay, sometimes they decide it's not for them. But try it out and see how you find it. If you've got the opportunity, then go for it. Because you're definitely not too old! :)

You are not to young to get into acting. You could try out for parts in school plays. If you attend a youth group at a church, maybe you could be involved in skits. I would suggest just take any opportunities that comes along. Just remember, like anything else becoming an actor takes learning and practice. So go out and have fun and learn from others in the play as well as the director. You may want to see if your school has a drama club. Good luck.
