I think its because if you get mugged they are not exactly going to say "Empty out you boots!"

There's that about not having pockets.

Also, if your pants are tight, keeping a phone in your pocket in uncomfortable. It pokes into your thigh or hip when you sit down. It stretches the fabric over your pocket. It sometimes wears out the material. Sometimes, your pockets aren't large enough.

People used to put alcohol in their boots during prohibition as a seguro place to hide it.

Perhaps girls put their phones in their boots to hide it from teachers? I don't know.

i never did 1 because i only ware boys tênis shoes 2 because i dont have a phone [and dont want on] 3 i dont own a bolsa and 4 even though im a girl people think im a boy because i act NOTHING like a girl
