It's not the industry, it's the public. What people like always changes and the música industry conforms to better satisfy their listeners, which is a good thing. You can't be an anti-conformist in any industry. Thet defeats the whole purpose of everything.
It is always the younger generation who decides what is in and what is out. It has something to do with trying to be "the future of music" or something. It's natural for people to feel the música industry is failing. There are ALWAYS people who feel this way. As you age, the worse it will most likely become. that is why you just have to seek out música you like and stick with it. Don't worry about what other people like or don't like. It's their ears, not yours.
It depends on your opinions and taste. Either you like or don't like what's around you. You can't change what you don't like if it's not yours to change to begin with.

Nuh DUH! I'd say "below the hill" actually. It's not even the "music industry" anymore. mais like the "Ohh-I'm-richer-than-you-and-have-better-promotions-so-take-that" industry. música now values popularity over quality. I honestly cannot name over 10 singers who can actually sing today, which is rather pathetic considering the size of the freaking música circle.
Artists today are not creative, repetitive, inexperienced and just horrible singers. I'm not going to name anyone but I think you all know who I'm talking about. Basically all the "stars" today cannot sing. But they are still famous and why? Because they have the money& the promotions. They know how to sell themselves por targeting the gullible younger generations, and they're smart por doing so because kids these days really do take in anything the media feeds them.
So heck yes has the música industry gone down hill, in fact they should rename it to "Noisy fancy dress industry." I don't listen to the música today much, I still prefer my iPod where I can listen to some music, not noise played on the radio.
Yes, indeed I do. It's not so much that I hate the música now, it's just that it's been a while since the REALLY awesome songs came out. It's just been the last couple months in my opinion.
Everyone has it's own taste and if someone likes todays música it's ok, because we have to respect everyones opinion. But what I think is that this todays música is all about selling CD and not caring about art, what música should be and really is. And I have to say that I amor pop-rock, as much as rock and punk but I amor the old rock and punk bands not this todays. I like that sound better than todays commercional sound.

There just isn't anything interesting anymore!!! Everyone talks about their money which isn't impressive anymore especially with how they look and how they use it -Beyonce is boring "sucks to be you right now" maybe in her world! and rihanna has to talk about how good her SEX is REALLY??? Drake's got the same old boring voice n beat or just played out and DJ Khaled gets every good rapper to sing or rap his música and HE SUCKS and is annoying!!!! There are a few good singers and rappers out there but just not enough variety. So sad... Even radio can't stay simple..105.7 St. Paul,MNWas BOMB with old school música but then got taken over por Tony Fly and he is sooo annoying and has toooo many commercials....SUCKS. .. what happened to the good old days...i want my OLD mtv BACK...JUST vídeos ALLLLL dia N NIGHT!!!!
