If your coração is telling you this boy is the one then you should go for it and if you're friends can't be happy for you and put their feelings aside to let you be happy then i'm sorry but they are not true friends and you're better off without him.
Just because he sings songs from the '50's and '60's and knows lines from estrela trek (so do i - live long and prosper) doesn't make him any less of a man or a friend. It just means he's interested in different things that some people my find 'un-cool'.
To be honest if you really amor this boy you will sacrifice a few friends who probably won't be around forever anyway, and sacrifice your popularity for love. A little bit of teasing won't hurt you hun, but missing out on a chance like this could.
After all a few months from now when you and him being a couple become old news they'll get bored and let up. Trust me, i've been through the same thing. yes it's annoying, frustrating and upsetting but when you realise that you stood up for yourself and what you believed in it will all get better :)

I think that if you truly care about him, you should go out with him. You amor him for who he is, so why should it matter what other people think? I totally understand that it really sucks to be made fun of, but you shouldn't let other people suck you in to the conformity of being someone who isn't really you. You've been really good friends, yes? If you go out, the teasing may be slightly worse at first, but people will get over it soon enough.

So don't let other people's nastiness drive you or your friend away from being happy. Ignore the nasty kids if you can, and soon they will get bored and leave you alone.

If they seriously tease because of who he is, they obviously aren't respectful and you don't need people like that in your life. Just ignore them, and once they see you couldn't give less of a care, they'll forget it and mover on.

If you amor him so much, then go out with him. forget what others say or think. i know im the last person to be giving amor advice, but if you truely like this guy, you'll accept the fact he isn't popular amongst the crowd.
