They did...they were sitting in front of his estate after their wedding...and he called her "my dear" and she told him not to call her...and he ended up beijar her all over her face...and then they kissed and then the movie ended...

I think the reason why they didnt kiss in the pic that you posted was because in that dia and age...it would have been scandalous for an unwed couple to kiss... and they left alot to your imagination...it was mais romantic that way..♥

Scandalous and ridiculous.. I still do not see why ,as they were alone on private land in the early morning....who is going to complain, but a bunch of ducks. The European film release at the cinema and the DVDrelease do not have the beijar scene. I think it was just for the American audience which is scandalous. It makes you wonder how people come up with these stupid ideas. Do Americans kiss mais than Europeans....very strange and annoying because everybody knows how the film should end...with an olympic sized smoochathon...........!

I watched the end bit of the Colin Firth/Jennifer Ehle 5 hora long drama, and guess what... Darcy gets into the carriage with Elizabeth Bennett, closes the door ,turns around and then turns his head sideways and they both kiss, on which the shot is held and the música starts and credits roll. I am thinking that maybe they did not want to use a copycat end scene to the English original. Has anybody noticed that when darcy is dancing with Lizzy, he is about 12 inches or mais taller but in the end scene when their foreheads are touching, there is only about a 6 inch difference, unless he is bending his knees, I have a sneaky suspicion that a housebrick is being used por Keira. But as hellohoudini said , imagination can sometimes be better than a overdone scene. I had no problems imagining it was me at all but I had to cuddle my pipoca box which cheirado, cheirava, smelt so lovely..........

I think the movie is complete and perfect without the beijar scene. It's the way it should be for a novel of that era, a Jane Austen novel, too. It was very sweet anyway, and I found Donald Sutherland so deep-felt in the final scene, he makes me cry every time I watch it.
However, I loved to find that alternate ending in youtube, as much as I like to read fanfics, but I don't intend to make them part of the novel... Do you get what I'm saying? My english is awful, sorry.
